Overview
Event organizers can email join codes to attendees directly from Brella's Admin Panel. In addition, a brand new in-app invite flow will be introduced.
Impact on ongoing events
This release will impact any ongoing or upcoming events only if organizers opt to use the “Publish invites” function, which is turned off by default. In additon, this release is bundled together with the “Filter invites in Admin Panel release”, which will only impact the Admin Panel (filter options will be added to the invites table).
How it works
Admin Panel: Use the "Publish invites" function to send emails with the join-code to all registrants
Event organizers can press the green "Publish" button to send emails to the main email address associated with every invite that has currently been created. If a single invite has multiple seats, each having been assigned to a different email address, the email will only be dispatched to the primary email address listed in the invite.
Any invites created after the "Publish invites" button has been clicked will automatically be emailed to the main email address, without any manual intervention from event organizers.
Event organizers can also toggle the "Show invites in Brella Apps" option before or after hitting "Publish". If this option is toggled on, the web app and native iOS/ Android apps will show a dedicated events tab (see below).
Admin Panel: Send emails only to select registrants
Event organizers can select multiple invites and click on the "Send emails" option that appears in the selection bar to send emails to specific registrants. The "Publish invites" feature does not affect this option.
Note: An email will not be sent out if all seats in an invite have already been claimed.
Admin Panel: Unpublish invites to prevent new registrants from receiving automated emails
Event organizers can unpublish invites at any time, ensuring that future registrants won't receive automated emails with the join-code when their invites are created in Brella.
Web App / Native iOS & Android Apps: A separate "Invites" tab is displayed when the "Show invites in Brella Apps" option is toggled on
Attendees can log-on to Brella and they will see a new "Invites" tab with a notification if they have been assigned a new invite (at an event where "Show invites in Brella Apps" is toggled on).
Attendees can navigate into the invite tab to share the code (if it's multiple seats) or claim the seat.
Clicking on the green "Claim seat" button will take them directly to the profile set-up screen.
FAQ
Q: Can the emails be customized?
A: No. There is a default email template that can't be customized. This will be considered for a future release.
